Pancha Ganapati Celebration at Spiritual Park - Part I
A few of our Saivite Hindu Saivite Religion catalysts pulled together to celebrate Pancha Ganapati at the Spiritual Park on Sunday. It was on the whole a wonderful celebration specially for the children and their parents. The ceremony started with an arati to Pancha Mukka Ganapati and Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami. Kulapati Amba Valaytan, also a catalyst, welcomed everyone and talked about the importance of Pancha Ganapati and the need for Hindu families to celebrate this festival in the month of December. Kulapati Rajen Manick was invited to address the parents on the aims of Bodhinatha's Saivite Hindu Religion series.
Various activities were organised. Kevina Soopramanien and her husband Poobarlene were the Masters of the ceremony. Many talents were discovered among the youth, some youth without any shyness, to our surprise, would express themselves fluently in both English and French. We had songs, dances, short sketches, quiz on the Saivite Hindu Religion books, a much energetic treasure hunt, a juice break and lunch. Gifts were offered to all. Some home made Pancha Ganapati greeting cards were shared among the youth and parents came forward to give testimonies. Even the parents happily participated in a musical chair at the end of the day. Kulapati Kulagan and Kulapati Moorooven helped to see that everything went on smoothly.
We thank all those sishyas who took the initiative to organise this event at the Park. We had so many nice things happening on that day. We share a first series of photos with you. Shall post the rest soon. Aum.
