In was Divali day on that Sunday Homa. Divali is a national public holiday in Mauritius and is widely celebrated by local Hindus. However, many families did not want to miss the Ganesha Havana falling in that very day at the Park. We did not see the usual huge crowd but hundreds of devotees arrived in the early morning and left shortly afterwards to celebrate Divali at home. But many however, stayed until the Havana ceremony was over.

We had a wonderful uplifting Ganesha Havana enhanced by mantra chanting, bajans, talk and announcements on Fund raising update and Hinduism Today news.

We share a few photos of the event. Aum.
